ABOUT ME
I guess getting to know my surroundings is what I like the most. I often get to know that I'm a positive and really welcoming person, which flatters me because these are important values to me. I like being social and I'm curious about nearly everything that captivates the minds of people among me.
PHILOSOPHY
Expectations leads to disappointment. Acceptance is important.

I hope to meet you some day.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been staying a few at a super welcomming guy in Istanbul on my way home from India, and I had a really great time with him plus I had better rice at his place than during my entire time in Asia. I've lived with a soap bubble artist in Berlin for a couple of weeks who had a theatre in his basement and thought me how to make three metre long soap bubbles with simple remedies. Also, I've stayed at a really kind French marine biologist's house on Sulawesi in Indonesia with my girlfriend. These are my only couchsurfing experiences so far, and they've been amazing.
Interests
I'm bad at pin-pointing my sole passion, so here's some things that I find really nice:
- Music
- Field recordings
- Ethnography
- Critical theory
- Urban gardening and food policies
- How health and treatment systems work
- Psychology
- To discover new stuff and rediscover old stuff
- dining
- gardening
- traveling
- music
- biology
- psychology
- mountains
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: A lot. Check out last.fm/avengadam for what I've been listing to the last year or so.
Movies: When I was a child I always wathced The Neverending Story, so it still gives some nostalgic thrills. I like movies by David Lynch and experimental documentaries (I can recommend The Act of Killing by Joshua Oppenheimer) too.
Books: I like the works of Herman Hesse, Milan Kundera, Franz Kafka among others. Since I started studying at university, the most reading I've been doing has been anthropology, though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been face to face with a white horse roaming alone in a foggy forrest in a deserted part of the Himalayan mountains in Nepal. Somehow that horse really made a huge impression on me.
