About Me

I grew up on a farm and love the outdoors. I'm an actor and gardener. I've been hosting and surfing since I was 18 via other people's accounts, and finally got around to making my own.

I'm about to move so I can't host, but once I'm settled in a in again I'd love to. I've bounced around a lot for work and lived in British Columbia, Bristol (England), Austin, Minneapolis, Portland and Santa Fe. Currently living in Philadelphia, PA.

I'm very independent and love my own company, but also love talking to new people and seeing the
things you love about where you live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on both sides of it and I think it's a great system. I love meeting new people and helping out when I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not great at favorites but love surrealism and absurdism especially. I really enjoy Octavia Butler, Ursula K. Leguin, Waiting for Godot, Hayao Miyazak, David Lynch, the Daniels, recently enjoyed Fantasmas. I love hearing about why something is meaningful to someone and watching/reading/listening to it with that context - even if it isn't my cup of tea I usually enjoy that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to work up in Naknek, Alaska in the summer to pay my college tuition - 18 hours a day every day from May to August. I also wanted to go to Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as a little kid and ended up getting into their masters program from an unplanned/on the spot audition (so lucky!).

** Update! On this day (11/11/24) I pushed my friend's car out of a muddy Irish ditch all by myself weeee! She said she's going to buy me a whisky but that hasn't happened yet. Which is okay because I have my glory you know.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about theatre and acting and farm stuff? I love learning, sharing knowledge, experiences, food, and whatnot.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, books, music, stories; lots of insight into my wretched nation?
