About Me

GTA in English at The University of Oklahoma

Your typical aspiring plant dad who loves coffee, used books, and records.
Sit me in front of a jigsaw puzzle, and I'll be invested for hours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Belief resides in the person and we all have it. The relationships manifested by use of Couchsurfing ought to be emotionally and intellectually beneficial for both the host and the surfer.

Interests

I enjoy pretty much anything that challenges me intellectually and spiritually, while attending concerts is my top form of recreation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: mewithoutYou, Trace Mountains, Big Thief, Wye Oak

Books: Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis, All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, The Stranger by Camus, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

Movies: The Social Network, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Dead Poet Society

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent an hour and half walking in beautiful London rain -- no coat or umbrella -- searching for the Sherlock Holmes Pub for a late-night dinner only to arrive and find the kitchen was closed. While those who were with me found it a fruitless endeavor, I couldn't have been more satisfied by the dreary landscape of mirrored sidewalks and lights refracted by haze. Who, in their right mind, could ever deny a walk in the rain?

Teach, Learn, Share

Truth is beautiful. I desire to impart the apparent truth of what I know and discover apparent truth from others.
My life has been radically transformed by the omnipotent love and grace of Jesus Christ.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hosting a stranger is a bold step in trust, and hosting for free says a lot about a person's personality. Couchsurfing is a brilliant tool to build new relationships, and relationships take the work of two people. Therefore, I offer a willingness to take part in local culture and activity, help around the host's home with chores, cooking, and whatever else is appropriate.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, England, France, Iceland, Scotland
