About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand consciousness. Eat good food. Play good music. Laugh really hard. Not take things too seriously.

ABOUT ME

I'm a devoted learner and explorer. Because of this, I went to college in California and lived in France for four months. It made me a lot weirder to my Massachusetts friends when I got back.

They would probably say "Avery is a nice and funny guy, and all in all, kind of odd. In a good way. He has a really wide range of interests and performance skills, which is cool, but how many times will he really get the chance to use corporeal mime in a show?"

More and more, I love being outdoors and working with my hands. I love to travel and challenge my beliefs.

PHILOSOPHY

We create our reality. That being said, it often tries to tell us otherwise.

Interests

I have been playing piano for most of my life, dancing throughout college, performing in and creating plays since high school, and cooking for most of my life.

I'm interested in astronomy, mythology, ecology, philosophy, critical theory, and history.

I'm fascinated by humans. Amazing creatures.

I love to explore forests and mountains. The power of the natural world inspires me big time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying theatre at the Philippe Gaulier School in Sceaux, France was incredible. I saw some earthshaking performance in my classes and became close with people from all over the world.

Performing improvisational theatre with some of the best improvisers in the country in Los Angeles was an ecstatic experience. Our show gave me 30 of the best minutes of my life. Flying without a parachute.

Driving through Western Massachusetts and hiking through a deeply wooded area to stand over a massive waterfall was mind blowing. I recommend it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a background in the performing arts--realistic theatre, corporeal mime, improvisational theatre, some dance...I've also been playing piano since I was 9 years old. I'd love to share what I've learned about performance.
