About Me
Hey!!
I'm a warm, passionate, travel junkie that works as a photographer and journalist.
Here is some of my journalism and photography: www.averyleighwhite.com
Here is a side project I've been working on for years: http://www.facebook.com/TheWorldMusicLibrary
I'm looking for alternative travel experiences. I've been traveling around the world on the regular for the past 10 years. I've lived in Colombia, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, New Orleans and now Brooklyn! I I'm hugely interested in holistic health and nutrition, music, art and activism. I love chatting about music, art, culture, history etc.

I really love old films, art films, documentaries, experimental projects. Hitchcock is one of my favorite directors. So is John Houston. Walter Salles is my favorite film maker from South America.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
trekking through Brazil and northern Thailand; driving through northern Argentina; hitchhiking through Brazil,Christmas in Granada, Nicaragua; wandering around Valparaiso, Chile; Camping in northern Colombia; attending a random family's party in Tulum, Mexico; watching the sun rise in the desert of northern Chile;dancing to live samba music in Salvador, brazil; skinny dipping in Bocas del Torro, Panama. 5 day camping trip through the Amazon Jungle. the list goes on and will continue to expand!
Teach, Learn, Share
I listen to music from around the world for an average of 3 hours a day and research music for an average of 2 hours a day (so I can share a lot of diverse musical movements with you!) Other things I can share: I love art, I've traveled around South America extensively for over 3 years. I would love to learn anything and everything about music, culture and art! Gardening is a big one on my list of needed-insights. I'm trying to learn Portuguese. French would be rad too.
