About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see if I can possibly top the adventure of yesterday.

ABOUT ME

I've been very lucky to have a lot of opportunities to travel and meet amazing people who have taught me so much, whether they know it or not. I believe in travelling for the richness it brings to your life and to constantly be learning more, changing your perspective, and finding ways to live your life that make you happy while always reaching to be the person you want to be.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything you'll ever want is just outside your comfort zone. Go get 'em Tiger.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been able to host yet because of my various living situations as a student, but I've recently started to use this platform more for travelling, meeting locals, and getting to know a place a little differently from just being a tourist. Once I live in a place for more than a few months at a time, I'd be happy to show any brave tourist around who wanders through the amazing place that is Manitoba.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing with a friend in Nova Scotia and had such an amazing experience. There are such cool people to meet out there and it is such a different experience to visit someone in their city rather than just show up and snap some pictures.

Interests

Travel, photography, any sports, hiking, back country camping, scuba diving, cooking (LOVE cooking and learning new dishes!), learning new languages, music... there's not that much I don't like.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Life of Pi, The Boy in Striped Pajamas, The Brain that Teaches Itself (so cool), The Stench of Honolulu
Movies: Anchorman will always be a classic, Dead Poet's Society, Arthur, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Lego Movie, Aladdin...
Music: Everything... I like listening to all kinds of music but a little country done right or folk kinda stuff (Band Perry, Trampled by Turtles, Devil Makes Three) are all faves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Come on...

Played a violin in a punk rock gospel band, ran a half marathon on the Great Ocean Road, performed fire throwing at a full moon party, dance fought my way to glory, completed a snorkel test and didn't die, swam with the whale sharks, destroyed two tough mudders, lived in the wilderness for months at a time...
