About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Still looking out for my true calling

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Avinash aka Avi. Truth be told, I'm a bit of a mess to read coz I have personality traits across the spectrum. I am introverted by nature and like nothing more than spend time all by myself in a quiet place. However, at the same time, I quite enjoy being surrounded by thousands upon thousands of screaming and raging people at music festivals and concerts I attend regularly. I have OCD occasionally while the rest of the time, I'm happy being a slob. I'm crazy about tattoos but can't stand the sight of piercings. Hardcore heavy metal fan who has a soft spot for mushy songs. I'm all for team effort and enjoy being a team player as much as I like working by myself. I could go on but you get the drift. Thus depending on my current state of mind, I may come across as aloof or outgoing, although I suspect it also depends on the people I meet for the 1st time, if there are positive, friendly vibes it helps in bonding. If I pick up any snobbery, condescending behavior, know it all types then it's usually, no thank you.

I enjoy travelling, walking about aimlessly in cities I've never been before, backpacking, roughing it out, exploring new places.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live
You get what you give

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people at my place, they arrived as strangers and left as friends (this was before I knew about CS) a close friend asked if I could host 4 of her friends at my place for a few days, although I had not met with them I said yes. I'm glad I did, they turned out to be so friendly, wonderful people, they kept the place clean, helped out with everything, although it's been a few years now and they're thousand of miles away, they still keep in touch and our friendship has grown.

Interests

History (in general all but would like to know more on the Eastern front in WW II),

Music (all sans Hip Hop, fave genre Heavy Metal),

Tattoos (have 6, want many more!)

Support animal charities in any way possible.
