Overview
About Me
We've been married for 10 years and counting and actually really like each other. (We've nearly always worked at the same company or with each other that whole time, too.)
In the States, Brian's favorite job was working the night shifts at gas stations. Mallory's favorite job was teaching music at a camp for the mentally disabled. Eventually, we did wedding photography as a fulltime gig for quite a few years and then up and skipped out of the U.S. of A.
Our story of how we decided to move to Estonia involves a Chinese buffet, a vision and a napkin. Ask us and we'll give you the full scoop.
We both work for the Robin Hood of international money transfers - TransferWise. Mallory on the content marketing end. Brian in data analysis.
Brian studied 20th Century Russian History in Uni and avoided writing his thesis by composing and recording songs. Mallory studied Theater and Spanish (so she wouldn't be a dumb American) and avoided her studies by tacking on fun minors in social work and art.
We're fairly animated storytellers with an arsenal of previous adventures and characters to choose from.
We like Jesus, but generally not the institutions associated with the guy. We often get on better with non-religious folks. (And if you were wondering, no, we are not Republicans. )
We often go to bed early, get up early, and take it easy on alcohol. Late night party scenes have never been where we thrive. Small, intimate conversations on fascinating topics with new people is more our cup of tea.
Over the years, for about half of our married life we made the deliberate choice to live with 2 or more other people. Aussies, Estonians, Germans, Brazilians, Americans - we've been privileged to live with them all.
