ABOUT ME
My name is Allison. I'm somewhat quirky, I suppose you could say, and I can't dance but I still like to try... haha.
I grew up in a college town (by no means a city) in NW Ohio, surrounded by corn in all directions. Though it was definitely not a bad place to grow up, it certainly was always too small for my big ideas and dreams.
In college I first spent half a semester traveling across the United States with a group of students, studying Geology, Environmental Studies, and Native American culture. We camped and hiked the whole way, and we got to see a lot of stunning and fantastic new places.
My next semester I lived in a dormitory community called the Global Village, a mixture of American students and students from around the world studying abroad at the same university. Sorta been hooked on meeting new and interesting people ever since.
Took me a long time, but I finally got the money together to study abroad through the university and I've been in Spain for a little over a month now. While this opportunity is certainly for my education, and to improve my Spanish, I can also say it's more of an opportunity for myself to get out and finally see the world I'm always reading and hearing about and share it with interesting people along the way.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to say that I have.
"El pasado es el pasado. Qué será, será. ¿Y por el momento? Vivamos."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've just joined, finally having the opportunity to start what I hope to be the beginnings of many future travels around the world. I also hope to get verified once I return home this winter and begin my own hosting of CSers, though I'm not sure too many people pass through my neck of the woods. Haha.
