About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn to say Pão like a real Brazilian, and maybe even one of those crazy bahian Axé dances! haha
ABOUT ME
Like many of us here I have an insatiable thirst for travel. I love to explore new places, love to meet new poeple and love to talk.I also love art, music, and food...I studied pyhiscs and math but work in marketing in NYC when I happen to be stationary. I value an intellectual conversation more than say, my privacy =P...also, I happen to be what the rest of you call "gay" =P
PHILOSOPHY
I am a very very easy going guy...If theres nothing you can do to change it then theres no point in worrying about it. There is very little in the wolrd that bothers me, I am a happy person =)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While I have done a good amount of couch surfing in my past, I am new to couchsurfing.com...I hope to have the oppurtunity to meet some great poeple and make some good firends here in Brazil...when I return to NYC in a couple months I plan to offer my place as soon as I am able =)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The crazyest couchsurfing experience has to be when I trekked across Guatemala just after a tropical storm and knocked many of the roads....all this with 4 other people in a 1987 Honda....after several near death experieces we became stranded in a ver small town due to a bridge being washed out....at the same moment the Honda's front whell assembly literally fell off the car...a very nice Guatemalan woamen gae us the key to her empty house for us to campn on the floor and figure out what to do for a night....somehow we managed to sell the car and continued the trip on foot and bus! The details of this story are even more spectacular, if you ever find me on your couch ask me for the story! =)
Interests
I have alot of personal interest....from art history, to easter philisophy (ie budhism) and meditation. Science and technology is another big one in my book.......Im the kind of guy that will spend hours on wikipedia reading about the most obscure of subjects =P

Music, Movies, and Books
The past few months I've been working my way through Bruce Chatwin's The Viceroy of Oudah, Songline, and In patagonia...I highly recomend The Viceroy of Oudiah...especially for those travelers here in Brazil that want some kind of historical pespective on Brazil.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I've done a good amount of traveling and seen some spectacular things....more spetacular than all is the realization after years that no matter how much you see, theres alwasy more completely unique things to see, it surely is impossible to see it all in one lifetime!
