About Me
Ok, I actually live in a small village called Hadid, in Israel, but according to couchsurfing I can only fix that in another month;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Dusting off my profile after a long hiatus. We just had some friends from Barcelona surf with us, and it reminded me how good it is for the soul to have visitors from other countries. It really helps me to keep a fresh perspective on life and the country and culture in which I live.
Also, my sweet Israeli partner, Adir, has agreed to accompany me on a roadtrip in the US. I am really hoping to give him a taste of the depth and diversity of US culture, and breakdown media stereotypes. I think couchsurfing could be a great way to do this!
Interests
I love, love, love, deep engagement with new people and new surroundings. I believe in really rooting into a place, but also like to take a trip every once in a while to shake up my worldview, and to put things into perspective.
Some things that are fun for me are yoga, climbing things, live music, dancing (African, contact improv), experiencing beauty (in both nature and art), and learning languages (as well as pretty much anything else). I like to cook and to create.
I'm a new midwife, and one of my goals during my travels is to learn and experience how women birth in the different places I visit. I am passionate about feminism in all of its forms.

Music, Movies, and Books
I generally go through periods with different go-to musicians. Currently I am looking for a new one. Last one was Asaf Avidan, before that was Christina Courtin. Mostly, I'm into acoustic, folksy, slightly-wacky music. I like music that is a bit surprising or unexpected. Other random favorites include: Ella Fitzgerald, Balkan Beat Box, M.I.A. I also really connect to reggae as well as more African rhythms.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first birth. And every subsequent birth I've attended. That miraculous moment never ceases to amaze me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My partner and I like to cook. Well, lets be honest, more him than me. Delicious and creative vegan cooking is one of his favorite pasttimes. I'm in charge of cleanup ;) Aside from that, deep, honest, nonjudgmental conversation is my go to.
