I haven't hosted as much as I would have liked b/c my living situation has been in flux for a while but now I definitely want to give back and host people.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love reading, too many to list! Mental stimulation is like air. A small taste: Dostoyevsky,Kafka,Sartre,Morrison,Walker,Allende,Marquez,Atwood,Camus,Butler,Ibsen,Wilde,Galeano. And a lot of non-fiction, i mainly like to learn about the past and social relations.
Recently been devouring modern Arabic literature, mainly authors from Cairo.
Same thing with movies, love independent and world films. small taste: Lang,Lee,Godard,Fassbinder,Sembene,Waters,Truffaut, Almodovar,Fellini,Kurosawa,Pasolini,Wertmuller,poetic movies,documentaries, etc etc etc.
And also music is essential. My taste is all over the place, from R&B to techno to house to nujazz to experimental to soul. Recently rediscovered Kate Bush!

-Machu Pichu- breathe taking and magical
-Berlin architecture
-Seeing Subcomandante Marcos and the EZLN leadership (also got to see Sucomandante Marcos smoking his pipe.)
-Taking part in a dance party/protest inside the office of University of Maryland's President
-Ukrainian Soviet era buildings and monuments
-The majestic hills of Palestine and the bustling streets of Cairo

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach you spanish and about astrology. I can also get into interesting conversations about a variety of topics including: art, philosophy, cultural studies, astrology, gender, race, class, sexuality, history, alternative politics and psychology.

You can hopefully teach me how to walk on stilts and juggle and maybe also tarot card reading.
