About Me

Hi all! I'm an Australian currently studying in Malmö, Sweden. I love to travel, and find myself going overseas every couple of years or so. Still so much to see, so many places to visit, I'll get there one day!

I'm a bit of a mix of social and quiet - I love hanging out and doing activities with friends, making new friends, trying out new things and being active... but at the same time, I can be inclined to just hide away in my room all day reading or playing games and listening to music by myself.

I do like to try and busy myself with something every day though, I love having hobbies!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was told about this years ago and completely forgot about it, until my friend just reminded me today. Forgot I even had a profile! While I'm studying in Sweden I plan to do more travelling, short trips here and there, including a planned trip to Finland in a month's time. I normally do hostels, and I've done AirBnB once, but I've heard good things about couchsurfing so I figure I ought to give this a shot! Great way to meet new people, too!

Interests

I feel like there are so many.
Cycling, travelling, exploring new places, reading comics, Geocaching, chainmaille, playing drums and occasionally guitar... currently excited about learning Swedish and trying out things like Rockclimbing and Volleyball. I love snowboarding, though as an Aussie I rarely get to.
I like to try and be busy and active as much as I can, and keep trying new hobbies and interests!

Music, Movies, and Books

These lists always get way too long, so I'm not really going to name individual things... music, I love downtempo, trip hop, post-rock, progressive rock, doom metal, stoner rock (I like the music, even if I'm not a stoner), and a mix of different things here and there. My favourite band is Vibraveil. You should check them out! I may or may not be the drummer in that band. *cough*. Psychedelic/Progressive rock band. Have a listen ;)

Movies: big fan of Marvel movies. Comedies and heavy dramas, usually.

Books: Robin Hobb (Farseer Trilogy etc), Kingkiller Chronicles, Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, various comics and graphic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo skydiving. I accidentally did a flip at 4,000'. How many people can say they've done that?
I've also spun my car out and crashed my car while travelling at 110km/h and came out with not even a scratch or a bruise.
Travelled the world a number of times, and currently studying overseas.

Was meant to say just one thing, huh.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more Swedish! It is my mission.

What can I teach? I'm not sure. I find myself helping my friends with English, though so many of them are fluent already.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope I can share a good spirit, fun, enjoyment, laughs and good chats over a beer. I can share some light-hearted and good-natured jokes about Australia, share some of our culture and bizarre slang, hopefully make you want to come visit Australia yourself!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
