ABOUT ME

I am very open and fun-loving. My best friends would probably say that I am goofy, happy, good under pressure, and open to new experiences. I love a good adventure! I have a positive attitude and always look for the silver-lining, which has helped me out in some tough situations. I am definitely a planner, which doesn't mean that I don't like spontaneity. I plan, but the plans that I make are never set in stone, I just like to have some kind of idea of where I am going and what I am doing. I am a history major and LOVE it! I really nerd out sometimes and there is nothing better!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a beginner surfer and would just love to meet new people and experience new things. Unfortunately I cannot host now because I am travelling, but soon I hope to be able to pay all the kindness I have received forward.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had a couple of experiences, but all have been really wonderful!

兴趣

I love to dance, sing and laugh. I cannot stop myself from dancing, even if no music is playing! Music makes dancing more fun, but it is definitely not required. One of my favorite things is to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea, it makes me feel safe and happy. If for some reason a good book isn't handy, a good, feel-good movie makes a great substitute. I spend my free time either doing what I mentioned before or walking, finding a good cafe and reading there, or just sitting and people watching. I love a good walk and a good coffee shop. Also, a glass of wine with friends never hurt anybody!

The Razor's Edge by Somerset Maugham is my favorite book. Period. I love period piece movies in all their shapes and sizes. I don't think there is a kind of music that I don't at least tolerate, if not love.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of these moments was definitely when I met my grandfather's 91 year old cousin in Bratislava, Slovakia. I realized that all of my language classes had led me to that moment because we were able to communicate with my very limited Czech, both of our less limited German and her limited English. Being able to communicate with her and meet one of the most incredible women I have ever met, was incredible.
