Finishing my Masters degree

ABOUT ME

I'm Simon and I'm studying Mechanical Engineering in Aachen, Germany but will start writing my masters thesis in October in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
I like to meet people to go out or just hang around, doing some sports or anything that's fun.
I'm playing trumpet since the age of 6 and can't imagine to quit playing one day. I played in a band for a couple years, but after school every member got widely scatterd so that we had to dissolve.
I am a huge football/soccer fan! My favourite team is Borussia Dortmund from Germany and I try to go to their games as often as possible and would like to show everyone the magic of this team and especially their stadium!
I love dogs. My parents own dogs for nearly 16 years now and I can't really imagine a life without one, it's just a part of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to do little good work every day. It doesn't matter if it is some grandma that needs help with her grocery bags or getting up stairs or if it's just a friend who needs someone to talk. But afterwards I just feel content because I know I could simplify/lighten someones day.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed multiple times in the US and in Germany and will hopefully be able to host as well in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone I met through CS was really awesome! I've never had even an average time with somebody. It's unbelievable how people open up their homes and theirselves to basically a stranger like me. It amazes me over and over again.

Movies: Hangover, 300, Pulp Fiction, Sin City and so on(yeah I know, how boring to write down all the movies everyone likes, but they are just good! If there is any non popular movie I will watch and like I promise to write it down ;) )
Music: In my freetime I nearly hear everything. When I go out to party/dance I like to listen to electronic music.
Books: Daemon, Darknet, Halo (I don't read much books! Most of the stuff I read is in the sport section of the newspaper :P )

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I'm a huge fan of Borussia Dortmund (german soccer team) and they got the German championship last year totally unexpected. So the whole season was already just an amazing experience, but it peaked when I got tickets for the last game of the season when I knew they will get the trophy and I am able to see it with my own eyes. Every moment of the game was just a total party and afterwards I celebrated with my friends and all the other fans in the city.

I can play trumpet (very well) and a bunch of other instruments (kind of well :P) so if you're interested in that I can show you. Also I like to explain engineering and science stuff since I think it's awesome to understand how complicated things work.
