About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To succeed in life you need three things; a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone.

ABOUT ME

I am 56, Latino male, 5'11" black hair, brown eyes, stocky muscular build. I work out 2-3 times a week at LA Fitness. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I live in a 6 bedroom house in Columbus, Ohio.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been a member for very long, but so far I have hosted three gentlemen and one young lady at my home and they enjoyed me as much as I enjoyed meeting them. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing of their travel adventures, and it has inspired me to try to travel via the couch surfing method next time I have some free time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have only done hosting. I have had three gentlemen and a young lady couch surf at my home. I have not yet trying couch surfing at anyone else's house, but I am looking forward to it in the very near future.

Interests

I enjoy cooking and eating interesting and nutritious food from all over the world. I own about 60 cook books and enjoy trying out new recipes on a daily basis. People who have dined at my home think I should pen a restaurant, but I think if I had to cook for 600 people every day, I would not enjoy cooking as much as I do now. I like camping, hiking, traveling, walks on the beach, ATV riding, jet skiing, deep sea fishing, dancing, downloading music, kareoke, shopping, home improvement projects, real estate investments, nice cars, and any thing Italian.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like action, comedy and romantic movies. The only books I read are cook books and health magazines. I was a former DJ in my early years, and I enjoy a wide range of music. I am constantly downloading new music. I also love listening to Pandora internet radio and Sirius satellite radio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I had ever gone deep sea fishing in my life in Cabo San Lucas, it was amazing because in one hour, me and my family caught NINE 45 lb El Dorado fish aka Mahi Mahi. All of us were just overwhelmed.

The most amazing thing I have ever seen was the crystal clear water at the beaches of the Bahamas. I went snorkeling and the water was so amazingly clear, I could see perfectly under water. I even got to rent an underwater camera and took pictures of me feeding the fish under water.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an exceptional cook, and many people that dine in my home frequently ask me for recipes of some of the tasty dishes that I prepare. I am more than happy to show you you how to cook or duplicate any meal that I prepare for you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My home is large 3200 square feet. I only have a spare bedroom and a convertible couch that is a hide a bed.
