ABOUT ME
Hi! Alex here..I've heard some amazing things about Couchsurfing from friends and decided I had to finally give it a shot!
From Palm Springs California studying up at Berkeley.
Really upbeat person..love interesting people to have engaging conversations with and exploring new and off-the-beaten-road sorts of places. Enjoy anything from a night at the symphony to a night on the town with friends.
Pretty big foodie here..love trying new and inventive foods from all over the world..especially anything with sugar! (One reason I'm in Paris!)
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a true optimist..and try to see the positive aspect of most parts of life. the glass is always half full in my book.
Also living life to its fullest..there's no such thing as a mistake, one learns from everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined couchsurfers at the recommendation of several friends, but am planning to get really into the CS project. I'm studying here in Paris until December and will gladly host people in Berkeley pretty much anytime throughout 2010!

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much into all types of music. Really like Jazz, especially the Sax. Always looking for exciting jazz clubs. Upbeat techno and house isn't such a bad thing either though!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving up to San Francisco was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. It really is unlike anywhere else in the United States and I can't imagine myself living anywhere else.
That being said, living in Paris has also been an incredible experience. I moved here in August speaking very little French and quickly adapted to a whole new way of life. France gets a completely undeserved bad reputation in the US..it has quickly found a place in my heart.
