ABOUT ME
Normally the first adjective people use to describe me is tall. Besides this...
I try to keep busy, love to learn and experience all that life has to offer. In the last year I've spent my time in the homes of the mentally ill, among Haiti's poor, teaching nonviolent communication to lifers in an Oregon prison, playing bridge with some wonderful retirees, kickboxing my way into great shape, reading reading reading, tromping through national and international forests, drinking great beer, and meeting some amazing people.
I'm tend to be a happy and rather outgoing person. Thinking is one of my favorite things to do as long as it's not interrupting my ability to enjoy life or the moment. All in all, there's a lot of bad out there but there's also a lot of good! (I'm for sure one of those glass half full types.) O, I like to smile, hum and laugh. I am a not so normal, not so strange kind of gal and I like it that way.
Questions? Just ask.
PHILOSOPHY
1) Good will always triumph over evil! It might just take awhile....
2) Do onto others as you want others to do onto you.
3) Karma kicks ass! Gotta love it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting (though I haven't been in the best places for that in the last few years) and a close second is showing people around town. Sharing and learning what's going on in the community through my groups it great and attending CS events, connecting people and meeting other CS is always fun!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a firm believer that it take a special find of person to want to become a CS and think they're awesome!
Interests
Of course there's the traveling, international cultures, and global thinking as my largest interests. I also enjoy the typical playing of sports and exploring of the outdoors. Learning is another of my favorite things and I plan on being a scholar, in some form, forever. Art also rocks (for whatever reason I have always really enjoyed stain glass and by extension looking at light and how it plays with color and depth in everyday life). Hmmm what else??? Conflict resolution, restorative justice, and perimcalture have been more rest interest that I'm getting more involved in.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies I like them, I like them a lot - really don't care for tv shows though. Top three movies 1)Princess Bride 2) Boondock Saints 3)V for Vendetta
Music.. depends entirely on my mood.
Books - my favorites are: House of Spirits; The Count of Monte Cristo; Tale of Two Cities; The Tao of Pooh; Winter of Fire; The Hobbit; Lord of the Rings; A Boy and His Horse; and more but I'm done typing for now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I seem to always be amazed by the simple and yet complicated beauty of nature. From the metallic beauty of a beetle under a microscope to the sun setting over the Indian ocean, it it truly incredible!
