About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get all the lights in my home running on potato power.
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm a twenty-something expat and general lover of eccentric people, good conversation and odd experiences. I'm originally from the US (Phoenix, AZ) and have been hopping around the world since finishing university there. I'm a pretty open person, happy to relax and chat just as much as go party till the wee hours of the morning. Really, just whatever brings the most memorable experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To have a more unique experience while visiting new places. At this point, I've recognized that the place isn't nearly as memorable as the people you are with. I mostly find myself travelling to visit old friends in strange places (and abuse their hospitality), but when traveling by my lonesome it's definitely better to connect with someone local, even if only for advice and an insiders perspective.
Interests
Dance is a big part of my life. I teach cuban salsa, and occasionally bachata, afro-cuban rumba, son, and folkloric orishas, all with a nonprofit organization I work with in Prague. I play drums at open mic events with assorted musicians, but not as much as I ought to. I spend a whole bunch of time learning languages and trying to convince myself I can realistically learn 2-3 languages at the same time.
Beyond that, assorted hobbies like swimming, skiing, karate, making enamel jewelry, hiking/camping...and all the normal stuff: books, movies, home cooking, drinks in the park, intelligent conversation, world domination, etc.
