Ahoi ! I'm a musician. A Singer/ songwriter. I've accompanied myself on guitar for years but over the last 5yrs have been accompaning on ukulele. I mainly perform as a soloist with my tenor ukulele,distortion and wah-wah pedals. But I also play in a 5 piece band called The Monday Project. For the last 7 yrs I've been teaching a music program to pre-schoolers here in Melbourne for a company called Mini Maestros. I keep active and like going out to see bands and shows. Love a great house party and to dance. I'm positive and friendly. I don't like to make assumptions about people or where they're coming from. I'm a greeny at home and on the streets and regularly attend rallies in support of safety,environmental issues and the empowerment of Indigenous nations. 我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've been interested in couchsurfing for years. I like the idea of sharing space and learning/teaching of an area from locals and having a grass roots cultural exchange. When travelling I usually just hang out with friends and might meet some new people at a bar or event but would prefer to have a more of an exchange and interaction. I'm planning a 3 month European music holiday. I want to play and write and jam and travel. I thought couchsurfing might help me meet some like minded musicians or music aficionados. For the past 20 months I've been living in my 1981 Nissan Urvan pop top van, so it's not really suitable for hosting people but upon my return I'll be looking forward to getting a place where I can offer a 'couch' . I like the idea of hosting events to get to know other people in the areas I'll be staying. Even if it's a picnic or a gig. Holidays can sometime be quite solitary or exclusive as you move around from one place to another, I'd like this one to be more than that.

兴趣

I like gardening and cycling and camping and swimming and dancing and writing and playing ukulele and singing and reading and looking at art and listening to live music and seeing shows and coffee and cats and dogs. I like a good movie and eating and stretching and sitting in the sun and birds and insects and trees and plants. I like stars and planets and science but I'm not a great intellectual in these areas, I mainly like hearing people who do know about these things talk about them (until my brain kinda explodes a wee bit) and I love watching documentaries. I've done studies in permaculture and like the princibles of sustainable energy resources and food production.
