Overview
About Me
The first thing that comes to mind is that I'm not particullary good at "About me" sections of profiles.
I come from Belgium, land of beer and chocolate. I grew up in a big family with five siblings, lots of life, lot of love (most of the time). I just finished my bachelor's degree last year and now I'm just meandering around, trying to make the trip as long as possible and until the money runs out, and then I guess I'll find a job? Master's degree? Who knows, Future Axel will worry about those things.
I am more of an introvert, but not socially akward. (I do spend a lot of time reading and prefer smaller groups instead of crowds.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently traveling through Mexico and I'm hoping it will give me the chance to meet some cool people. Additionaly, I prefer opinions of locals on the area instead of travel guides; just as I prefer connecting to the local culture through the inhabitants instead of through monuments, musea, ruins, tourguides, plazas, blablabla - the people business.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books, books, books - oow, how I miss my private library... I mostly read novels and philosophy.
I listen to music but don't know anything about it; I enjoy rock, blues and reggae the most (Janice, Hendrix, King, Hooker, Nirvana, The White Stripes, Marley, ...)
I don't watch many movies but my favorite series are Sherlock, Bored to Death and The Office
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Copying 'The Old Man and the Sea' - word for word.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've thought sports (as a P.E. teacher) and English, Spanish and Dutch.
I'd like to improve on my French and learn how to draw.
I can share what I'm mentioning in the next section. I don't understand social media
