I am Axel and am originally from Belgium where I spent a very big part of my life, more or less 25 years. I have always been interested in other cultures and languages and that’s why I studied in Ghent Eat-European Cultures and Languages. I already knew before I started my studies that I would never stay my whole life in Belgium and this feeling only got stronger during my studies. I discovered wonderful people and places in Eastern Europe that I decided this would be new home. After finishing my studies I moved to Wroclaw because I felt in love with the city during several languages courses. Since 2017 I live in Warsaw.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people. Please don’t put me in a hotel with a swimming pool because I am not made for this. I don’t want to have luxury, I just want to have fun in unknown cities or somewhere far away in the nature. Couchsurfing is the perfect way to meet new and interesting people which can show you the best places.

音乐、电影和书籍

Regarding music, I can say that I almost like everything except for rock and this kind of music genres. I am not really a big expert but I try to discover different kinds of music.
I love to go several times a month to cinema and I am not only watching the Hollywood movies but once and awhile a European movie! I have at my place already a small collection of Polish movies.
I don’t know how many exactly but I have quite a lot of book, at least 100. Unfortunately I still have to read end a long list but I am on the good way. I prefer books about history.

Making the decision to leave Belgium for Poland. Of course it was hart at the beginning without family and friends but after a while you get settled down and you just don’t want go back anymore.
