Hi everyone,

Very happy to join the Couchsurfing community !

To introduce myself, I am a half french / japanese video and cinema student, just spent a year in Japan after graduating to try to catch up with the language. I would now like to head up to the United States to maybe start a trip in South America, nothing sure yet.

I basically grew up in France - most of the time near Paris - with a year in Japan and another in Dominican Republic, both when I was a child. I had a gap year in the middle of my studies two years ago, between two schools, and traveled around Asia for about eight months.

Don't really know how to describe myself. I think I'm an easy person to live with, anyway I don't need much to feel comfortable as long as I eat and sleep. I enjoy sharing projects, opinions, ideas and ideals, so I'd like to hear about your life and dreams when we get to meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First, I would say I'm on couchsurfing for the concept.

Since I am now travelling, I can not host anybody, and will definitely do it when I get to have my own place back. In the meantime, I hope to get to meet people in the places I am headed to, and to get to discover it from a local point of view.

Interests

I am never as happy as when I am travelling.

I am of course passionated with cinema and visual arts in general. I studied video and worked as an assistant editor for two years. So far directed two short movies and would absolutely be thrilled by taking part in any video project. Just got back onto photography by recently buying a film camera.

I am also a big music fan and practice it as a hobby, would like to take it further ! I used to practice guitar and drums, but it has been a while. I now use a few drum machines and synthsizers to produce some electronic music, now trying to find a way to take it on the trip with me, not easy... I can't get enough of listening new music, and would like to get to know what you listen to.

I like to learn in general, so all topics are welcome. Also have a strong interest in languages.

Share being the core of couchsurfing, I guess anything is good ! First come the good times, and I think it includes culture and ideas in general.
I would be delighted to share any artistic project, especially in the fields of video and music. I would like to learn your language, so please correct my mistakes and teach me idiomatic expressions and slang !
