About Me
Hi! I'm Axel and I have recently graduated with a Music Degree from Kingston University in London, UK.
I'm pretty easy-going and laid back, friendly and open to new and fun things.
Since graduating I'd been thinking about accomplishing something I've dreamt of - travelling the US on a shoestring from coast to coast to then move onward from there. I then caught the travelling bug - I visited Fiji and lived in New Zealand before travelling across Southeast Asia. Now I'm back living in London. I hope to see more of Europe, and looking forward to meeting more people through CS
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From my USA experience I learnt how strong the couch-surfing community is for travellers like me.
I'm really open to meeting new people along my travels, and get a real vibe for an area from the locals who know the place and experience something authentic or different, not just from what I've read in a travel guide.
Otherwise I'm up for fun and meeting some new and interesting faces along my travels if somebody just fancies meeting up, maybe grab a beer and show me some cool spots.
Interests
I've always enjoyed travelling and I've been lucky from an early age to visit some amazing places, from India, Israel, Morocco and travelling through Europe.
I've always enjoyed learning history, which was my favourite subject at school besides music. Travelling is the best way to learn more about the heritage of the place you're visiting - better to see it yourself than in a book!
Museums, art galleries and cool historical/cultural sites are always a first for me when travelling to a new city.
I also enjoy sport - a big Arsenal fan, I go to the Emirates stadium regularly. I also enjoy watching NBA, NFL and UFC. I used to play rugby at school but I now stick to running/gym 3 times a week.
I also love to cook (spaghetti bolognese is my favourite dish) and food/drink is always a great way to discover new places and people.

Music, Movies, and Books
As you might have guessed , I love music! I have learnt to love all sorts of genres, from Hip-Hop to Rock to techno. I mainly play guitar and sing, dabble with synths and played the violin as a child.
My philosophy toward music is similar to how I like to live: always be open to something new, and be ready to experience something that you might never have known you'd liked before.
A fan of all things Tarantino, my other favourite movies include: Snatch, Hot Fuzz, Monty Python's Holy Grail and The Dark Knight.
I've been reading books by Hemingway and Kerouac recently to get myself in the mood for my American Adventure, but other favourites are Ian Mcewan and John Le Carre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had some amazing experiences in all 4 countries I've couch surfed in. My favourite experiences were: driving a Ford Mustang through the desert in Joshua Tree, randomly seeing Orcas in the Marlborough Sounds, staying in a local village in Fiji and touring around with 2 of the coolest CS hosts I've ever stayed with in Kuala Lumpur.
