Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling (small duh), meeting people, exchanging words, ideas, possibly even foods, changing life objectives all the time, messing around with same-said objectives, learning languages (and getting lost+constantly embarrassed on the way).
ABOUT ME
Tall, naturally blond(ish) but tendentiously black of hair, nerdy, generally tolerant (including towards intolerance), bookish, in school since I-don't-know-for-how-long, but currently on self-proclaimed leave for trotting the world. Generally vegetarian and non-smoker (if not offered and enticed by the excitement of the company, which tends to be easily achieved). Generally stays up late, but voluntarily gets up early to catch the day.
PHILOSOPHY
These aren't solely my quotes, ok, but I guess it would be; "Well... why not?", "I'm willing to try ANYTHING once" and "I have only faint and creepy intentions to spend my life in the small corner where it may have begun."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In every way feasible and non-feasible. Did I get you lost as well as me?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Beyond easy counting, before I joined this lovely site. Well, that includes spaces lower flatter and more motional (or, a few times, softer) than couches.
Interessi
Reading and writing, hiking, camping, travelling the world, debating, cooking vegetarian food, watching movies and mayhaps a few carefully selected (or selected by the first dude in which I confided a.t.m.) series.

Musica, film e libri
Too much to choose from; don't you know a question that's too wide will earn nothing as well as everything, ha ha? Well, I like "model" novels/short stories from the 19th and early 20th century (E.A. Poe, Jules Verne, A.C. Doyle and Agatha Christie), some fantasy (Tolkien, Martin, Lindgren but under no circumstances David Eddings... no offence) and historical fiction (McCullough, Follett, Iggulden) as well as most classics I actually manage to lay my eyes on... and keep them there until the end. Movies - in one pitiful, inadequate sentence; most on the Imdb Top 250 is watchable, trusting in others for a non-blockbuster generally pays off, and Christopher Nolan never let(s) me down. Music? Anything that feels good at the time and pace. Mostly alienated by the old and the very, very new.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I'm not going to say something orthodox like, hm, skydiving (alright, done it already), not! The sea, from below. The Andes and Table Mountain, from above. The feeling of being invisible inside a major casino at 4.30 a.m. Shooting 96 % vodka. Grabbing a night bus in Johannesburg. Kissing a stranger whose name you can't spell. Being offered free food or housing by other strangers. Finishing one, or the next of a few three-digit page book drafts.
Insegna, impara, condividi
When you write, write what you want to read. Never accept others' opinions as substitute for facts. When you bike, graduate to keep your hands in the air and close your eyes (if you dare!). Always improvise when cooking, even when you know for a fact it's going to be for the worse.
