COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done any couchsurfing on this site yet but been doing it for many years in sweden and norway. usually between travels and between jobs. I once lived on my brother's couch for 4 months in his little student room in Stockholm. I woke him up with no less than 6 alarms every morning to get up for work.. He never said anything but I feel a bit bad about it.. =)

now I only have my cell alarm to wake up to but I also get late for work more often.. naturally

NOW, finally, I have actually hosted a guy from the states while living in Bali Indonesia. Great opportunity to share our different views of life and traveling and sharing our Indonesia experiences.

Skateboarding, snowboarding, working, surfing, drinking red wine, reading,politics, internet comunications etc

and traveling off course!!
I never travel without skateboard, guitar, my collection of tea and coffe and a small library of books for the inevitable long busrides. And a bunch of other shit which I seem to never get rid of. Heavy load in other words.
I thought my 20+ books was a lot to carry while backpacking. This was until I met my fellow reader friend from America. He was traveling around Asia with over 70 books in his backpack! Ok, he was a university teacher, but still.. Wtf! ^^
At least I see no other value than the intellectual in books and have no problem giving them away. This man kept most of his books. "I might want to read them again" he said.. :)
