ABOUT ME
BUILDING AN EARTHSHIP IN BIRAS RIGHT NOW, not available until septembre !
"Wan·der·lust": a strong desire to rove or travel and explore the world."
Do I need some prescription drugs ? :)
I'm a french freelance photographer/artist working under nick name "sandee pawan". I am given the amazing opportunity to travel as much as I can afford, since I make my own schedule.
I left my grumpy beloved french people about 15 years ago, when I decided to become an international citizen. Ever since, I never stopped traveling around and I enjoy it a lot.
I started with Asia. I used to live and work as a photojournalist in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, traveling around (China, Burma...) as often as I could.
Then I left to the USA, and stayed 4 years in Las Vegas, before I moved to NYC for a year, then Orlando, FL, then Casablanca, Morocco, for another 2 years or so.
Life is short. My camera has long life span batteries. Hurray.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a host several times, and everytime was an amazing experience ! I've also host travelers from everywhere in the World through CS and AirBnB and everytime I learned at least one thing from every single one of them. I also met a couple of CS along the way (even met some during one of my photo exhibitions in Algeria, North Africa) and attempted a couple of CS meetings in NYC and Rio de Janeiro.
I believe that there is no right or wrong way to be a CS. You just need to be yourself, true at heart and starving for new adventures. Differences make the world so interesting. That's what the whole concept is about, in my opinion.
Interests
Vegetarian food ! I've been a vegetarian since I was a teenager.
When I host you, I can only cook or suggest some good vegan restaurants around. If you're a meat eater, it is time for you to try my infamous quinoa recipes :p
I love walking around the cities, mountain biking, hiking, trekking, spinning, fitness... And of course meeting new people, talents, crazies or less crazy...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I covered a story about one of the biggest hispanic gangs in East Los Angeles. I stayed and live among gang members for a couple of months and got in serious trouble once.
Though I'm still here and have plenty of stories I'll be able to tell my grand children, one day :)
