Overview
About Me
Hey there!
I’m Aya, a Lebanese born in the States currently living in Germany.
A little about me:
As probably like most of us here, I really enjoy meeting people from different cultures and listening to their stories… and, as I have a thing for languages, I usually try to learn a few words in their language too.
What nourishes my soul is being in nature, traveling and connecting with people, being part of communities of like-minded people where we can share and reflect on our experiences of personal growth and healing and just our shared human experience. 😅
And, as an Ambivert, I also really enjoy spending time with myself to recharge and reflect.
Into slow traveling, mindfulness, authenticity, Carpe Diems, La joie de vivre, La dolce far niente, exploring, expanding, going on adventures, trying things for the first time, and doing things that make us feel alive. 🌞🌊🌴🌲
Currently feeling called to move to Spain… Málaga was the first city that came to mind, so I’m looking forward to visiting soon and checking out the city, meeting up with locals and digital nomads, and of course soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the Mediterranean culture and being by the sea again! ☺️
Qualities I appreciate in others:
Open mindedness, easy going, kindness and honesty.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS opens doors to meet people that we might otherwise have never met. To connect and make new friends with people from all over the world who not only love to travel, but to exchange stories and make new experiences together is truly enriching.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met up with some surfers visiting Lebanon back when I was living there, met some wonderful people in Germany with whom I am still friends with today, a wonderful family in Vienna, and spontaneously attended a CS meeting in Croatia which was a very memorable night with wonderful people. ☺️

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a very wide range of music, a little bit of everything really, though two genres that stand out: Latin music and Jazz; as I like to say: Latin music makes me feel alive and jazz soothes my soul.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you German, English, and some French. We can cook together; food is best enjoyed with others.
