ABOUT ME
Naturally traveler, lived a nomad life style for last 4 years and finally settled down in Oakland, CA.
I was working in international development field as a social scientist and lived in Cambodia over 5 years. Always interested in what people think and love to explore local context.
I'm Japanese, grew up in Japan most of my life and started to travel when I was early 20s.
I love cooking and try new cuisine whenever I have a chance. So far, I've been cooking Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Khmer, Indian, many Scandinavian, some French, and America.
So if I stay with you or you stay at my place, we will definitely cook together!
I love bicycling. Wherever I live or visit, I find a bike and enjoy the place :)
PHILOSOPHY
I really agree with this quot and started to see myself being somehow "unreasonable" but not there yet.
"Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world.
Unreasonable people attempt to adapt the world to themselves.
All progress, therefore, depends on unreasonable people."
by George Bernard Shaw
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't been able to host anyone yet but being hosted by other and have had great experiences. Once I have a stable "home" and flexibility to host people, I would love to be more active.
I'm not verified at the moment because I never live in one place long enough to get things sorted out. But once I settle...yes I'll get verified.
