About Me
Hi, I’m Ayan Dinda from Kolkata, currently pursuing my B.Tech in Biotechnology. I'm passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, and solving real-world problems using technology. Apart from my core studies, I’ve explored areas like web development, app development, digital marketing, and data science. I love connecting with people from different cultures, learning new languages, and sharing ideas that create impact. Whether it’s brainstorming startup ideas, working on sustainability projects, or just having meaningful conversations—I’m always up for it. Let’s connect!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to meet amazing people from around the world, learn about different cultures, and exchange stories, skills, and experiences. I believe true learning happens outside the classroom—through real conversations, shared meals, and exploring places with locals. As someone passionate about travel, innovation, and building meaningful connections, Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to grow as a person while also sharing what I know. Whether it’s tech, biotech, or just talking about life, I’m always eager to connect and contribute.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy a mix of everything—from soulful Bollywood tracks to energizing EDM, calming instrumental to Bengali folk. Music for me depends on the mood—sometimes it's Arijit Singh, sometimes it's A. R. Rahman, and other times it’s just peaceful lo-fi beats while I work or travel.
Movies: I love thought-provoking movies and feel-good stories. Some favorites include The Pursuit of Happyness, Interstellar, 3 Idiots, and Into the Wild. I enjoy films that inspire, make me think, or just give a warm vibe.
Books: I enjoy books that help me grow—personally or professionally. Some favorites are Atomic Habits by James Clear, Ikigai, and Rich Dad Poor Dad. I also love reading about startups, science, and biographies of people who dared to think different.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is step out of my comfort zone and dive into learning multiple skills—from biotechnology to web development and digital marketing—while still being a full-time student. It helped me connect with incredible people, contribute to real projects, and even land internships in fields I once knew nothing about. It made me realize that growth begins the moment you decide to take that first step, even if you’re unsure.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can share what I know about biotechnology, web and app development, digital marketing, data science, and even tips for building a strong profile or applying for internships. I also enjoy helping others with personal growth, productivity hacks, and startup ideas.
Learn: I’m always curious to learn about different cultures, languages, travel experiences, food traditions, and life philosophies. I’m especially interested in how people think, solve problems, and live meaningful lives. Also eager to improve my Arabic and Chinese!
Share: I’d love to share stories, experiences, local dishes (or try cooking something together), and positive vibes. Whether it’s sharing a walk, a deep talk, or just some good music—I’m all in for making real connections.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share great conversations, stories from my journey as a student and explorer, and a genuine interest in learning from you. I’m happy to help with anything tech-related—be it fixing a website, sharing social media tips, or brainstorming ideas. I can also cook a simple Indian dish (or at least try!), help with chores, or just be a respectful and positive presence in your space. I believe in giving more than I take, and I’m always grateful for the kindness of hosts.
