About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit: Iceland, Iran, Morocco, South Africa, Australia!
ABOUT ME
I am Ayan, from Bulgaria, graduated International and European Law in The Hague, Netherlands. Born and raised in a small town called Isperih, but finished high school in Sofia. Upon graduation, I moved back to Sofia from the Netherlands to pursue a career in tax law. Now I'm back in the Netherlands to continue with that career and pursue a Master degree.
I am very passionate about travelling and I try to do it with a low budget. Not because I'm a cheapskate, but because I believe getting in touch with the locals and staying away from commercialized all-inclusive places is the best way to explore and get to know the culture of a country. I've visited quite a lot of countries in Europe already and now my focus is switching to less popular tourist destinations, such as Cuba, Iran, Morocco, etc. which I have visited or am planning to visit in the nearest future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted people a couple of times in my apartment in Sofia, and I plan to do that in the future as well. So far, I've met really cool people who have a lot to share and I always learn something from them. In some cases, I even want to be like them in terms of having the balls to ditch everything and travel around the world :D Something that I still don't have the guts to do.
I have also been hosted in Prague for a couple of days and had an incredible cultural (and drinking) experience with awesome people, who eventually turned into really close (drinking) friends :D
Interests
Work hard, party harder.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am into house/techno/EDM music and I try to go to such parties, but still haven't been to some big festivals (such as Tomorrowland, which is on my list!!!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited 17 countries , graduated LLB, got a job as a Tax Consultant in a Big 4 company, all in one year.
Swam between two islands in the Mediterranean waters of Malta.
Teach, Learn, Share
When I travel (or host someone), I like to get to know the cuisine of the country that person represents. I am not a fan of the big fast food chains and I never step foot in them when I'm in another country. That's why I prefer to try something new and local that can be hardly found in my own country (or somewhere else).
What I Can Share with Hosts
My drinks :)
