Merhaba(Hi)! I am Ayberk (pronunciation is like "EYE-burk"). I currently live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for grad school. I am an environmental engineer focusing on climate change effects on water resources. I am from Turkey but I have lived abroad in different countries and cities for years now. I am a very open-minded person accepting and enjoying the differences and diversity of people and cultures of all over the globe from every background. I love learning about new places, meeting new people, and trying all kind of new food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of Couchsurfing mostly because knowing and meeting people from very different backgrounds are coming together with the mutual spirit of we are not really that much different and we can share, have fun, and love each other and it always gives me hope about everything going wrong around us.

Youtube or Spotify is not my thing to find new music (well maybe sometimes) but I like to go buy a vinyl randomly from a record store and figure out how it is when I get back home with a couple (or more) of beers.
