Just a normal guy who loves travelling and the outdoors. Travel mostly with my partner and we love to explore the outdoors, mostly via hiking. We are currently embarking on a 3+ month hitchhiking/camping trip across western Europe exploring the Alps and other cool places we find along the way. We're trying to travel cheaper and more authentically with a goal of getting closer to nature.

I love to learn and take photographs while travelling. I love to cook also and this is something I enjoy to do with hosts. I am vegan although will happily eat dairy when it is an inconvenience to hosts or there is no suitable restaurants.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I very much enjoy experiencing a place from a residents perspective, whether that is food, drinks, culture or just showing us their favourite places, to me it is much more personal and authentic than the other options.

Interests

Cooking, Music, Computers/Programming, Art, Photography, Hiking & obviously travelling! I enjoy teaching programming also and run a website and events which utilise tools I've built to help teach PHP ( a programming language) https://www.phpschool.io.

Most of the books I read are non-fiction, political or science types. I enjoy reading about religion and travel also and other books my girlfriend tells me to read :D

Movies I'm a mixed bag with, stuff like Clerks 2, Drive, Man on Fire and more recent stuff like Interstellar, Whiplash, Boyhood. I also enjoy films like Little Miss Sunshine & Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Hackers is definitely up there too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm enthusiastic and excited, extremely curious and interested in most things anyone is passionate about. I like to cook and I'm happy to cook for/with guests. We have lots of experiencing travelling and can share many stories.

I enjoy just hanging out, going out for drinks/food. I also enjoy music and like to see bands. I also enjoy just strolling around exploring places and finding hidden secrets and charming areas of towns. We also love to adventure, hiking mountains, finding beautiful waterfalls and camping by lakes!
