About Me
LATEST (INTERESTING) CS PARTICIPATION: APP DESIGN!
I've recently worked on a project that I wanted to start for SO long:
being in touch with people at CS headquarters, I've sketched some ideas for improving the Couchsurfing app's UX&UI design. Some (few) photos of that interesting (ongoing) process are in my photos collection.
ABOUT ME
Me? All about me? oh, dear. I'll try. well, I'm sincere and funny. When I hang out with people I like to say what I really think and hear what they really think. I'm curious. Sometimes I'm shy, but when I get over it I can get quite crazy. :) I'm a caring person and I find people very interesting. I think everybody has an interesting story to tell and I enjoy seeing new perspectives and glimpsing into peoples worlds.
I am afraid of many things, but I'm very proud of myself when I am brave enough to do face these things anyway.
I'm inspired by people who dare. As a couchsurfer, I was lucky to have a great begining that reasured me that CouchSurfing really is a wonderful idea. And wonderful ideas should be supported. So that's what I intend to do. My boyfriend and I are currently hosting in Israel, and we are planning to visit Amsterdam soon, and hope to meet some great people.
PHILOSOPHY
Mmm. I've got plenty :) but it's better shared over dinner than in writing. I tend to be a little radical in some of my opinions on stuff. I'd love to share them and I'd love to hear others' opinions and consider different points of view.
Generally, I'm extremely open minded, non-conformist, into authenticity and exploration (and celebration) of existence.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm both on the surfing and the hosting sides. So far, I've been surfed in OZ, NZ and London and Amsterdam, and it was absolutely wonderful! I think I'm thinking of going through the verification process soon and make it official. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfing my way through Australia and NZ was great. I met some great people that I will remember long after I'll forget other things from this adventure.
People I surfed with gave me so much and shared with me so much that it changed my experiences deeply.
Interests
I love art and design. Contemporary. photography, comics, painting.
I love being overwhelmed.
I sometimes play the flute (though I can't promise it will be an enjoyable experience to listen to me do that). I like walking in cities and ending up in cool places with strange music or people.
I'm currently trying to get to know new music, so I'm very happy when I am exposed to some new stuff.
I like hearing about peoples' philosophies and beliefs. I like talking about philosophy (when I'm in the mood. I can't guarantee :) ).
I love traveling. I love seeing new kinds of beauty that I could not predict.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books? philosophy, design. Movies? yes, please! Music? I'm unfortunately very uneducated. But I'd love to be exposed to new stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw indigenous people from the Bora tribe dance in the jungles near Iqitos, Peru. I traveled there for several days with the son of the chief of the tribe and almost got lost by myself in the middle of the jungle. :)
I got out of the water once, on one of the Galapagos islands and found myself alone, surrounded by sea lions, feeling like I was reborn in the beginning of time when the planet was still much younger and purer.
I've seen many beautiful and magical things. Can't wait to see more.
Teach, Learn, Share
well, I can teach Hebrew, painting skills and a little bit of flute playing. I can teach salsa steps. :) I can teach molecular biology (if you happen to be interested)... I can tell you about ethics and Bioethics. I can tell you about the Jewish religion (even though personally, I'm secular).
I'd love to learn everything that is to know about art, design and music. I'd love to learn about religions and culture. And I'd love to expand my knowledge in good music.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach salsa & bachata basic steps (or advanced steps), talk about good UX design, teach holla-hoop (if you happen to have one at home), and be a great listener of stories and thoughts.
