About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To implement sharing and exchanging resources while practicing trustfulness and kindness

ABOUT ME

I am a: mother, Hebrew teacher, mornings walker, sunsets chaser, roses smeller, wild berries picker, liberal media watcher, farmers market regular , blender heavy user, funny birds scribbler, foreign films viewer, Shakespeare festival usher, free box diver, Scarlet Emperor (cool kind of beans) grower.
I was born on a kibbutz in Israel and later lived in Jerusalem and Tivon, a small town in the north part of Israel. I moved with my husband Yosi and our two children to the US on 1991 and we had lived ever since in Santa Cruz CA. I feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful surroundings with the redwoods on one side and the ocean on the other. I also appreciate the progressive and creative community of Santa Cruz and its deep concern for protecting its environment. In Santa Cruz I thought Hebrew and art, and also took some classes in English and the history of films at the local community college. I volunteer at the committee for the Jewish Film Festival and every summer I usher for the local Shakespeare festival. I am 59 years old My physical strength is some what limited but never the less I love being in nature and I enjoy waking the streets, the woods and the beaches. I love to meet people from deferent backgrounds or ages and to listen to their stories. I love to share and exchange ideas and materials. I also like to make healthy and colorful dishes out of fresh organic fruits and vegetables from the framers market or from my yard and share them with family and friends. I appreciate artists of all medias and I am alway inspired by an awesome piece of art.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the CS because I am planning a trip with my friend Cynthia to the East coast and beck. We both want to explore interesting places on our way and meet with local people everywhere we go. It is also an economic way for us to go that far form home , since we are on a constrain budget. As a gust at your home I would be sociable and considerate . I would respect your boundaries and privacy. I am very clean and would be very gentle around your things .
My husband and I would be happy to host CSs for a night or two at our living room. We have a futon couch which 2 people can sleep on. There are also two students living with us . We would be friendly and helpful . We live near the pacific ocean and near down town Santa Cruz and we’ll be happy to recommend you on awesome places to visit around here. We like to keep it peaceful and casual at our house. Your diet is not a problem and also your bed time although, we probably will not sty late. We do not smoke or drink and we would not mind if you do those things somewhere else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not have any experience with CS bat I am looking forward to experience it as a surfer and as a couch home.
