About Me
Hey there!
I think I should start by saying I move around a lot? I lived in many countries, grew up in a foreign country, studied in two other countries and shortly lived in my homeland. I live now in Germany, I moved here a year and a half ago. I also visit Denmark often, I have relatives and friends there. I study (and drop out a lot) Audiovisiual at college, I'm so passionate about it, I've so far learned two languages just to align studying with traveling. I like to use the term Audiovisual which is more commonly called art and multimedia. I like the term because I find myself passionate about converting visuals and sounds around me into material; well, it's writing most of the time. However, films and music as tools to tell stories fascinate me too. And while I enjoy art as much, I think that storytelling has its own thing! Yet I find it hard to write about myself, so maybe you could skim through some of my bla-bla, haha!
I can speak English and German. Well, my German isn't native but I'm one level away from starting to study at a German university. I suffered during my stay in Germany because I treated the language as a barrier; I didn't speak it well and I'm somewhat a perfectionist. Therefore I now want to travel again and use my English to be more natural meeting people and take a rest.
I feel at ease in cozy places and around friendly people, and what I like even more is going for a walk to chat. I like walking around cities and witnessing them at different times and under different weather conditions.
I like going to nightclubs but I rarely do an all-nighter, or at least not rocking all the time meanwhile. I prefer bars and pubs where it's still possible to shift between loud and resting.
I'm also really open minded and never stop without experiencing every thought out there. I like to renovate things and enjoy discovering design tools all along.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Of course to meet people first and foremost!
I'm also currently working on a project with a friend in Denmark and I will start going there to be able to work more concretely and do some meetings. Of course, I would love to learn Danish, in fact, I'm already trying to learn.
We are working on building an App and a website to be a nice and fun social service in Denmark, it's going to be important for me to get to know the people as much as I could. Not that I'm going to do a market-research in person (unless I were a computer :P), but that I'm really passionate about the project that I really want to know the people in a mere social environment first.
I've been to Denmark before, more precisely; I stayed in Silkeborg. I'm most probably coming this month (March) again. I would be grateful to find a place or multiple to stay for a short while, get to know people and maybe go to events as well!
Interests
Filmmaking, writing, music, languages, psychology and melancholic stuff. I find photography very interesting, I used to take photos during my trips but I recently lost my camera and somehow lost my interest too :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy alternative music and whatever good is except for Pop. I frequently listen to bands like Mogwai, Goldfrapp and Sigur Ros and like to listen to Dido, Yelawolf, Beck and Pusha-T. Jazz and blues are awesome, also funk, punk and post-rock.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've also came along way with a new-years-resolution of learning how to cook, I can absolutely teach you a couple of traditional dishes, and maybe try motivate each other to learn doing new recipes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been for five years on the road and have never come home ever since. I can share some stories :)
Oh, and of course after we get to know each other you will be very welcome to stay at my place any time you visit the south of Germany. I live far from the city and am surrounded by nice Bavarian hills and peace!
I will also be bringing some bavarian beers so we can Prost! :)
