About Me

just a lady overwhelmed by the size of the world looking to travel more now that I've finished graduate school! starting in the US with a short road trip around the PNW this July. I will be staying in hostels sometimes, with friends/family other times, and hope to stay with some lovely fellow couchsurfers for the rest!

I love exploring new places, especially through cuisine, nature, and people. There is not much to be sure of in this world, and I use travel not to seek answers, but to expand and deepen more robust understanding of myself, others, and our connections to each other and the natural world around us.

I always travel with at least one book and a notebook, find at least one marvelous coffee and pastry, and want to push myself to meet more people and engage in more spontaneous social gatherings! also would love to find some local circus schools and drop-in to a class!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

doing my first solo road trip around the PNW in July and hoping to enrich my experience by staying with some wonderful people in beautiful places! I enjoy a place the most when I'm making genuine and grounded connections, and couchsurfing offers the best opportunities for introspection, discovery, fun, and some reciprocity--I would love to bake and/or cook for you!
My partner and I have a sweet, (very) small apartment in Vermont and we love finding ways to welcome people to the area and offer a soft place to land -- we hope to one day move to a slightly bigger place so we can better return the favor!

Music, Movies, and Books

music: big thief and adrianne lenker, rubblebucket, highly recommend somerville ma based band Otis Shanty (!!), lots of other folk and oldies

movies: poor things, lady bird, challengers, knives out, many more!

books: Uranians: Stories by Theodore McCombs, The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson, Another Country by James Baldwin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

during the peak of the pandemic, my partner and I decided to watch every Marvel movie in chronological order. We did it without skipping any of the mediocre ones, too! (this is a slightly more ironic "amazing thing" but it did require a lot of time and discipline to be honest)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can provide some basic aerial or dance skills, talk all about reality cooking/baking competition television, share my favorite podcasts, and am good at lightly geeking out on many different things.

I love to listen and learn all sorts of local lore, anything to do with any craftsmanship-- woodworking, silversmithing, printmaking, fiber arts, etc., and get all the inside recommendations for sights, snacks, and entertainment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

quiet cleanliness, cooking and baking skills, an infectious laugh and fun sense of humor, a good game of bananagrams, willingness to contribute around the house in any way I can, great with kiddos and animals!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, El Salvador, France, Ireland, Mexico, Nepal, Scotland, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
