CURRENT MISSION
It's simple, quality over quantity.
ABOUT ME
Meet Ayla & Chase: Partners-in-crime since 2007 when our worlds collided in Alaska. Together, we became both addicted and inspired by the newness that traveling brings. Be it between new human beings, new cultures, new languages, new styles of music, new adventures, new cuisines or new landscapes; our travels have, and continue to enrich our lives and deepen our love for the world we live in. Our routes keep us close to nature (national parks, mountains, oceans, lakes, rivers) and small local communities.Meet Ayla: I am currently a pre-school teacher in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I have my degree in Bilingual Education (Spanish/English) and Human Development. I am also an artist; working with metals, leather, and anything else that I can get my hands on. I love to learn just as much as I love to teach. I worked at an art shop in Amherst where I taught people how to manipulate silver and work with leather. I am the oldest of 4 children and I see family as the most valuable treasure in life. Whether I am traveling or not I am always on a search for truth, adventure, beauty, inspiration, connections, and new lessons needing to be learned. Music feeds my soul, Chase's cooking feeds my belly, reading (and watching TED.com) feeds my mind, and traveling feeds my mind, body, and soul.Meet Chase: I am a baker/cook, and I love to eat. I believe that all food, as long as it's made with love, will always taste good! I love learning new things such as skills I can use, history, sciences, and languages. I like being reminded that I don't know everything, or nearly enough about anything, so that I always have a drive to learn. I think we are all teachers, and the only thing stopping us from all being students is ourselves. I play guitar, although I'm still a beginner, and I'll never pass up a chance to jam. I love reading, camping, mountain running, a good fire and good beer!
