About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to hear what people are passionate about.

ABOUT ME

I see my path opening up now more than ever before. I just finished my bachelors and I feel like I have the freedom to do exactly what I have been wanting to do- travel and meet new people. I love artistic expression and creativity. The types I am interested in and experienced with are singing, hooping, drawing/painting, and writing. I really appreciate dance, musical talent/interest of any kind, and intellectual curiosity.

PHILOSOPHY

There is so much to learn. If a human is still alive, then they are meant to keep learning.
One good way to do this is to attempt to understand differences.
Always ask- why?

Interests

I love to sing, hoop (hula hoop dance), write and read. I like learning about philosophy and language. I like it when authors offer new possibilities or challenge convention. I appreciate talented vocalists and musicians, as well as different types of artists.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books is called The Clan of the Cave Bear- a fiction tale about a homo sapien woman who is raised by neanderthals in neolithic Europe. The protagonist is Ayla, whom I am named after. Polyamory has piqued my interest lately, although I'm not sure how it will work for me yet. Either way More Than Two and The Ethical Slut are very good books on the subject. I like Emancipator, Bonobo, Beats Antique, Ellie Golding, Joni Mitchell, Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Stirling, Rising Appalachia, Les Miserables (10th anniversary of course), Wicked, Ayla Nereo and of course so much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Bangalore India during the fall semester of 2012. I did some exploring while I was there and the most amazing place I have ever seen is called Hampi. Its a medieval city in ruins with several temples throughout its sacred landscape. The city is filled with eroding boulders making it an extraordinary site. I have never been anywhere more culturally, historically, or aesthetically beautiful in my life, and I've been to Machu Picchu and the Taj Mahal.
