About Me

I grew up in France in a mountainous, rural area, with plenty of snow to ski (especially cross country skiing). I wouldn’t say I’m placid as the summits, but rather calm. Given the location, sports have always been a natural thing for me to do throughout all seasons and I am generally happier outside. After having graduated in France I’ve moved to Scotland to study a masters in Glasgow. There I thrived in the mix of culture, art and outdoors it offers. This further opened me to varied artistic practices, a very sociable and buzzing lifestyle which I still try to embody; those who have been or lived in Glasgow would understand they’re the most friendliest, witty people ! So I enjoy peace and quietness as much as going out, being really sociable and meeting people with diverse passions.
I love reading, listening to — or trying to make — music, travelling (how original…), riding my bike, going for a drink or two, and many other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on couchsurfing as I always have plans for bike trips under the cover, love to exchange with people, hear about travel/life anecdotes and share mines.
Also since I had to move out of Exeter for familial reasons and I need to travel back and forth between my hometown and the university as I’m currently doing a PhD there. I thought giving couchsurfing a go could be great in my situation as I could get to know nice people, share good moments and interests, while being nice to my purse which is sometimes (read often) pretty empty. On the other hand I can cook a bit and would be happy to provide for the food!

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately, I would say: “Biological” by AIR or “Blue sky and yellow sunflower” by Susumu Yokota.
The latest great read was “the wind-up bird chronicles” by Haruki Murakami and I enjoyed watching “la grande bellezza”.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don’t know if it is an “amazing thing” to do but for me it was truly great(!!): I’ve helped recording an album in a farmstead in Scotland with some friends. Catching salmons in the nearby river, making bonfires under northern lights, organising this sort of communal lifestyle and working intensively for a while was pretty magical and out of time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach french or Italian, share many passions such as sport, arts, or history.
How to sit in a train for 34 hours. Drive both on the right and left side of the road or write with both hands.
And I would love to learn absolutely everything that exists

What I Can Share with Hosts

A meal, a cup of tea or coffee. A run. Whatever the hosts and me would have in common and/or that we would feel like sharing. I’m very respectful of people’s space and time.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
