About Me

Hello there, I’m Aymeric!

I’ve just survived the academic rollercoaster of a master’s degree in Business Engineering at a French-speaking university in Belgium (Louvain-la-Neuve - seriously, it’s like the Disneyland of campuses, ok maybe not really). But instead of donning a suit and tie for the corporate world, I’m taking a wild detour - hitchhiking my way through Europe.

What’s propelling me? It’s the sheer thrill of connecting with people from all corners of life. Each person is like a puzzle piece, and I’m on a quest to complete the world jigsaw puzzle. That’s why I’m here on the CouchSurfing platform - to dive into cultures, swap tales, and maybe even become a wiser wizard of the world.

I’m practically buzzing with excitement at the thought of meeting you and crafting some experiences so unforgettable they’ll need their own Instagram filter!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As hinted earlier, I’m on Couchsurfing for a reason that’s as peculiar as Belgian weather – I want to break out of my cozy comfort zone! I’m on a quest to meet folks from all corners of the world, learn how they take their coffee, and share tales that are as wild as a saxophone-playing cat on roller skates. In a nutshell, Couchsurfing is my secret weapon to collecting life’s most unforgettable stories and friendships, one couch at a time!

Music, Movies, and Books

1. “Les copains d’abord” by George Brassens is like the universal remote control of my emotions. It just switches on all the right feelings! Trust me; your ears will thank you for pressing that play button.
2. Okay, I’ll confess, “The Dark Knight Rises” is my guilty pleasure movie. It’s cliché like wearing socks with sandals, but I can’t resist it. Nolan wraps up Batman like a gift you keep re-gifting because it’s that good!
3. “Harry Potter” by J.K. Rowling is like my personal time-turner. It not only transported me to Hogwarts but also magically improved my English. It’s the literary equivalent of finding a Niffler in your pocket – pure gold!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer, I embarked on a couch-sailing escapade in Croatia that spanned a whole week. What set it apart was our captain, an intriguing character who led a somewhat solitary life but had an unwavering love for the sea. Envision life on board, where the ship became our world. Days were filled with coastal exploration, island-hopping, and the mesmerizing rhythm of ship life.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I'm in the "post-studies, what's next?" phase of life, so if you've got any brilliant ideas on how to adult, I'm all ears. And if not, let's embark on this chaotic journey together and learn along the way!

- Ever heard of Belgian cuisine? No? Perfect! It's like the best-kept secret in the culinary world. Let's explore this hidden gem together, and who knows, we might even discover the world's tastiest waffle!

- Need help with French, German, or clarinet lessons? I'm your go-to "professeur." Just beware, my clarinet skills might not make you the next jazz legend, but we'll have a blast trying! 🎶

Currently, I don’t have my own place, but I’m excited to host once I have my own apartment! When that day comes, I’ll be ready to share my love for music, Belgian cuisine, and travel stories with my future guests. Stay tuned for future adventures in my new home!
