ABOUT ME

I am a professor in engineering passionate about the environment and sustainable development. I am looking at how we can generate energy from the sun, the wind, the ground.
I enjoy traveling, teaching and conferencing.

I like cooking tartiflette, a special dish (with cheese) from the Alps and invite all my friends. We usually play guitar, jamming and enjoy to meet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The experience below comes from my preCS experience.
I don't really like hotels, hostels, bed and breakfast, etc... so I love CS.
I have not had a real home for the last 5 years but I try to help the community and CS as much as I can while away by doing volunteer teaching, engineering ambassador, sharing my experience, volunteering, sponsoring humanitarian actions.

TOP OF THE TOP: Making someone feel good and happy!!!

Here are other boring ones:
1. Installing a wind turbine on a Scottish Island, transporting it for 5 hours all night in the Highlands in a Ford Fiesta and breaking the car's shock absorber because it was too heavy
2. Forgot my laptop (with all my work) in the train station in a big city and finding it 40 min later at the reception. Thank you CCTV
3. Booking a plane 1 year in advance to go for a wedding (as best man) and going to the place with the groom's family even if the wedding was canceled...a weird party experience, all good souvenirs
