About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be a citizen of the world.

ABOUT ME

Sneakers and jeans, coffee, books, soccer, movies, singing, writing, beach, small talk, slow dance, bad at dancing in general, look like a snob when expressionless, "yes-girl" (I'm bad at saying "no), like to eat, would love to learn to cook, can be very very shy or very very crazy.

I have low alcohol tolerance, a terrible dancer, and a bad conversationalist - but I'm working on it!

PHILOSOPHY

You only have one short shot in life so don't step back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm quite a noob so there's not much experience. So far though I've met very colorful personalities that I intend to keep as friends for a long time.

Interests

Literature, Music, Movies and small talk over coffee. I'm not much of a club person but I can sway along (lol) for about two hours and that's it for my feet in high heels. I also write as a hobby, and keen on developing soccer skills (haha). I like nature trips too, and love animals. It's awesome to see wild ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pulp Fiction, My Sassy Girl, Windstruck, IL Mare, Life is Beautiful, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Scent of A Woman, AI, The Legend of 1900, Amadeus, Central Station, Stranger than Fiction, Edward Scissorhands, The Great Dictator, 50 First Dates, Lili, Lagaan, Malena, Modern Times, Pay it Forward, House of Flying Daggers, December Boys, Still Life, Love Actually

I like listening to anything that's played live especially if the artist is good, and more of a lyrics type of person. I don't have a specific genre, I enjoy a song when I like the lyrics or the beat.

Books - Works by O.Henry and Edgar Allan Poe, Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged," I also like reading classics like Charles Dickens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Outdoor jacuzzi on a small boat in the freezing waters of Tromso, Norway - way above the arctic circle.

Getting lost in one of the mountains in Thailand, trying to find the top of the falls.

24-hour cruise in a houseboat in Thekaddy Lake, India with a personal chef.

Island hopping in Palawan, Philippines with a kayak and spending overnight in a tent in one of the remote islands.

Helicopter ride across the Great Barrier Reef, afterwhich we landed on a private island for a picnic lunch.

2-hour bicycle ride from our resort to the nearest town in Mossman, Australia passing along an expanse of tall sugarcane fields split by a road.

Best of all though are genuine "hi" and "goodbye" hugs from new friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

As Ayn Rand the writer says, "There is no such thing as a contradiction. If you encounter one, check your premises, you will find that one of them is wrong."

There's nothing too weird or too unusual, we just have to learn to enjoy other people's culture and share ours.

Countries I’ve Visited
