My name is Ayon Dey and I'm a student at Grinnell College, Iowa. Much like many of you on this website, I love travel. An interesting fact about me is that I have never lived in one place for more than 4 years at a stretch, which has made me flexible to adapt in many new places. I have lived in Indonesia, India and Bangladesh.

I am on couchsurfing to meet interesting and wonderful new people. I would also love to hear about their lives, travels, views on life and just generally get to know them.

兴趣

To start off, I enjoy music more than anything in the world! I listen to all sorts of music and am happy to delve into new genres. A favourite past time of mine is to just listen to music and lay in bed.
I also love sports. I play football (soccer), cricket and table tennis. I have a huge interest in tennis as well, but I'm not too good at it. Football (soccer) is what I am truly passionate about! I have been watching and playing since a very young age and I love it very much.
Of course, I enjoy travel a lot. This love for travel comes from my parents who have taken me around on their adventures since I was a young boy. Having lived in different countries and traveled to many more, all these different cultural experiences have made me want to understand more cultures and I am always in a state of curiosity to learn more about different countries and cultures.

Recently, I've been listening to a lot of Whitney, Dire Straits, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Glass Animals, etc. Along with that, I love Pink Floyd, The Killers, Daft Punk, Kanye, etc. There are too many bands to list them !
I enjoy all kinds of movies and books. The most recent movie I enjoyed was Awakenings with Robert de Niro and Robin Williams and the most recent book I enjoyed was Sea of Poppies by Amitav Ghosh.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

So far, I have hiked on many of the major mountain ranges including Himalayas, Rockies, Ghats, Alps, Carpathians, Olympics and Appalachians. Hopefully I can get to the Andes soon!
