Hello! I'm Aysha, 29 years old, half Japanese half Palestinian living in Perth. I've just finished postgraduate studies and am travelling through Sri Lanka and Lebanon before starting fulltime work in the new year. I'm looking forward to meeting you on my travels and hope to host some couch surfers in 2019 :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. When I travel, I prefer to explore a place through the eyes of a local and have unique experiences rather than mindlessly visit tourist attractions.

Interests

I absolutely love food and trying authentic cuisines, cooking, visiting markets, collecting fabrics, people watching, live music, beautiful buildings and landscapes, I love to read but never seem to find the time, visiting galleries, seeing the inside of people's homes. I find different cultures, customs, and languages really fascinating and believe that if we all just listened to one another a little more, the world would be a kinder place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered to help a family from a refugee background settle into Australia - they have subsequently invited me into their family with genuine love. It's an ongoing experience I truely value.
