Overview
About Me
I'm a vegetarian. I'm into music, reading and cinema. I do like traveling but I'm not super adventurous - I like a well laid out trip and to see the local aspects of the places that I'm traveling to. Even for a short period of time, it's much better to imagine oneself as a resident, instead of getting into the craze of filling tourist checklists. To rent a bike and stroll through residential areas, go off the beaten path and leave no trace. In the evenings good food and drinks means back to the urban life where mutual respect and caring is the most important thing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently moved out of Florence where I lived 2 years, a charming city where I met so many international people. and through couchsurfing I hope to retain that curiosity of meeting genuine people from all around the world.
Istanbul is hectic and can be harsh (especially if you live in it), but most people I know here would be blissful if you enjoy your time and so would be happy to help out. Turkish hospitality is real.
Interests
music, literature, movies and running/trekking whenever my knees permit me
i've also been amateurishly trying to record music for a lot of years now. never really cared much to promote it in any way but for the near future i'm hoping to find some fellow musicians to start performing and making it less personal. everything is still very sketchy while i move back to Istanbul and try to find people to join, but to listen to it anyways:

For books I recently started using Goodreads, and I'm including only the stuff I happened to read after I moved to Italy back in 2013.

for cinema, I prefer an absence of a driving plot or clear messages , movies with convincing dialogues and subtle character studies are preferred. i'm also a big fan of most types of documentaries.
