ABOUT ME
I'm not usually a big fan of these "describe yourself" boxes where you have to sum up your entire identity in under 100 words. But I'll give it a shot...
I am an Asian American female originally from California. I've spent the past year studying in Copenhagen, interning in New York, and just recently, I've made my way over to Berlin for another student exchange program. Like most people, I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning new things. I'm also interested in hip-hop dance, cooking, and media.
So contact me if you're swinging through Berlin anytime between now and mid-December. If I'm free, I'd love to tell you about my time here in Berlin or even Copenhagen and/or New York if you ever want to visit. Likewise, if you plan on strolling through California after December, feel free to contact me and I can see if I can offer any tips/ recommendations :)
PHILOSOPHY
I have been spending a lot of time thinking about this... What is my personal philosophy...?
Hmm this is still being worked out in my head, but I will update once I figure out exactly what I'm trying to say :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really love the concept of CouchSurfing. I am very interested in sharing the beauty of my city with travelers and I am interested in learning about different cities and countries from the POV of locals!
I'm down to meet up for coffee or beer or a chat even!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had a whole lot of CS experiences, but from the few encounters I've had, I've realized how awesome CoachSurfing is. I love being able to meet new people and learn about how they live. Before I began CoachSurfing on my own, my friend would always rave to me about her CS experiences.
She told me about this guy she CouchSurfed with in Hamburg and how they had the best conversations and that she learned about all his favorite places in Hamburg (all of which were outside of her original itinerary).
I thought it was really awesome that she could get along so well with someone she just met, despite the cultural differences. I love that CS provides opportunities to break that cultural barrier and to interact with people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Since I'm a Media Studies major, I tend to watch a fair amount of movies & television. FRIENDS & How I Met Your Mother, anyone? :) As for movies, I really enjoy 2 main genres -- total mind-fuck movies & well-executed comedies.
I am currently reading a book titled The Power of Now. Although I have only read the first couple chapters, it is really good so far! I would definitely recommend :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I danced until the sun came up.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am definitely not super skilled and talented, but if you've ever wanted to try hip hop dance, I can surely try to help! I also know how to make a few beats with my mouth (beatbox) so I can teach you the basic sounds!
If you DJ and/or play guitar, I have been wanting to learn for quite some time ;) Just sayinnnn
