About Me
ABOUT ME
I am laid-back and enjoy all things fun. I love filling my time with spontaneous adventures. I have always enjoyed meeting new people, and think everyone has something to contribute to this world. My main pursuits at the current time are researching conflict and negotiation through an anthropological and political lens to understand more about social interactions. I am currently studying for a Scottish Masters in Anthropology and International Relations at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
PHILOSOPHY
Spread joy and love. Be respectful, loyal and generous always.
"Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases from being shared." -- Buddha
"When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace." -- Jimi Hendrix (my tattoo albeit in Hebrew and Arabic)
Wise words: Traveling is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have travelled quite a bit and stayed with fellow couchsurfers all over Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa. I hope to keep it up as I love meeting the people and making friends around the world who will hopefully, one day, get to visit me too.
Interests
In no particular order: laughing, connecting with others, volunteering, traveling, curious explorations, skiing/shredding, kayaking, swimming, hiking/backpacking, horseback riding, hot springs, gardening, DIY projects, cooking, eating delicious food, sustainable living, singing in the shower, dancing while no one is watching, archeological digs, random acts of kindness, whiskey/beer/wine (in that order) and making the best margaritas you'll ever taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked from St. Andrews, Scotland to Barcelona, Spain for charity in January 2012. Over 1500 miles! Loads of amazing stories from those few days alone, including sneaking into France by hiding in the overhead bed of a semi-truck.
Traveled to 48 out of our 50 wonderful states. Still missing Alaska and Hawaii -- my father lived in Alaska until one day his mustache fell off his face from the cold and he bought a ticket and moved to Hawaii the next week -- alas, it's not the 70s anymore and it's quite expensive to get to either of these places.
Had a dream since I was a kid to travel to at least 21 countries by my 21st birthday, so I made it a positive 31. Enough experiences to write a novel, but I'm sure most people feel the same even with one new place. I board with locals and rarely get a good photo (and most likely lose the sim card), but my mental memories of sensory overload and cultural exploration will last my lifetime at least. Seen enough to wake up with a smile every day -- all I could ever ask for in life.
Still dreaming of going to all 7 continents before I'm 25. Only two more to go!
