About Me

Please take the time to read our whole profile before asking for our couch.

ABOUT US:

Nicolas was born in France, Azahara in Spain. We've met in Wales around the year 2000, studying arts, and moved to Cordoba in o 2002.
And then Sancho was born in nov 2010, and that is the begning of a new story...
We now live outside a small village near cordoba (Sta Maria de Trassierra).

We enjoy living in the countryside, and try hard (and sometime fail) to do things in a group/tribe/big family/community fashion.

la Maraña: a space shared between many families:

The important thing to know is that all the space that immediately surrounds our house (garden and building) is a space called "la Maraña" which is used and taken care of by a group of around 15 families were use and rules are decided by an assembly of all member families.

It is kind of an association with the purpose of sharing things and moments with various families and do stuff together that we couldn't do at home. Kind of a social club.

So while you are around home you will be in "la Maraña" and can expect to see adults or children around at any time. You'll have to accept to see small children around barefeet, climbing trees or playing naked in summer.

You are, of course, welcome to use these spaces as our guest, but you will have to realise that we are responsible for you, and will be asked to follow a set of basic cohabiting rules like cleaning and put away the stuff you use, or no noise in certain spaces at certain time. (nothing out of this world).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are in couchsurfing because we fancy to have people of all kind visiting us and bringing life to "la Maraña".
We would really like to see families coming to share their time with us and make friendship. share their experience with us and our children.
Really one of our most important motivation for hosting couchsurfers is our children and our friend's children. Allow them to meet and have relationships with very different people from different places. We are kind of homeschooling them, but between various families, and use "la Maraña" for that (and for more purposes).

So we'd say that if you are not interested in children, do not enjoy they company, this is probably not the place to come. important: If you want to come home, please put the word "cuchufletas" in you request, this is for us to make sure you've read our profile before asking to come.

In the past, we loved to host people when time allowed us to do it.
Havn't done so for a while though....but we are coming back now!!

We've surfed like 5 times (Turkey, Greece,France, Belgium, Netherlands) which were all great experiences.
