About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding out what my mission is

ABOUT ME

Well... that might take long and it's always better to share these kind of things with a cup of coffee! For the time being, I'll just say that I love travelling and sharing new experiences with people from all over the world, there's so much to see and learn! I love being around people and just talk, it's amazing how much you can get to know not only about others but also about yourself. I would say I am an easy-going person, I like to plan things but not so much, there always has to be some room for the unexpected. And as I say, this is just a little insight on me, but I'll be glad to share a lot more with whoever wants to share their time with me!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to make the most of my life, be happy and make my people happy, have the feeling that what I do makes a difference in someone and enjoy the simple fact of being alive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting started... so far I just to become a part of it and learn about the project, then we'll see! Hopefully it will become a very special part of my life...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couch-surfed once, in San Francisco, and I must say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had... 90% of a city is the people who live there and those you meet on your way. Can't wait to have the chance to do it again!
I can't host now cos I live with my parents... yeah, hard times! and I won't be able to host for a while as I'll be renting a room for the next 5 months... but some day, when I have my own place, definitely!!

Interests

I love travelling and meeting new people, I'm open to new experiences that may change my life in the most unexpected ways. I love playing soccer, listening to music, watching movies and TV series... I am interested in all that has to do with the English language, linguistics, translation... and most of all, I am intersted in people, because it is people that make your life what it is.

Music, Movies, and Books

My two favorite movies are Trainspotting and Edward Scissorhands (quite different, I know...) but I like many others, especially those which stay there forever after you watch them and somehow become a parto of you ... there's a moment for everything... I like Clint Eastwood movies, the Cohen brothers, Tim Burton...
same thing with music, there's a song for every moment of your life and I couldn't possibly live without music!
But to mention a few: The Killers, Oasis, Heroes del Silencio/Bunbury, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Nirvana, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Sidonie, Radiohead, Lori Meyers, Ocean Colour Scene... so many!

I've recently been watching more series than movies. Among my favourites: True Blood, Mad Men, Weeds, HIMYM, Friends, The Big Bang Theory (it became a serious addiction last year...), Life on Mars...

My favorite book is The Neverending Story and my favourite authors are Auster (I'm still blown-up by Sunset Park) and Kerouac. I bought an old copy of On the Road at the Beat Museum in San Francisco which is one of my most valued possessions... I only wish I had more time to read :(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Try to pursue my dreams and make the most of all the oportunities my parents give me. Hopefully I'll pay back some day.

And not so philosophical... I drove by myself for three days up California 1, LA-San FRancisco, no words to describe that... it was just a weekend of a 10-day trip by myself all the way from Dallas to San Francisco... my last stop before comming back to Spain.

I've been ice-skating near the North Pole.

I've even been happy a few times. That's pretty amazing...!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to learn about everything! About teaching, you never know what someone can learn from you, sometimes you give the most amazing and unexpected lessons without even thinking about it... says someone who always thought would never want to be a teacher but who's been working as that for the last 3 years... oh man... it's just about being open!
